Red, White, and Boom (lifts)

Published : July 4, 2025

It’s almost time for fireworks, patriotic playlists, and maybe a few questionable hot dog eating contests—so naturally, we checked in with the crew at Discount Lift Rentals to see how they’re gearing up for the Fourth of July.

Backyard Blowout (and Probably an HOA Violation)

Max is dreaming big, as usual. He says he’s planning to host a backyard bash with burgers, cornhole, and what he describes as “at least one wildly over-the-top firework I can legally deny later.” There’s also talk of decorating a boom lift as a float, which he may or may not drive down his cul-de-sac while waving a flag and wearing a bald eagle shirt with real feathers. The HOA is already on edge.

Beach, Sangria, and Judgment

Jaimie has more refined aspirations. She’s heading to the beach with a cooler packed like a game of patriotic Jenga. Rumor has it she’s bringing red, white, and blue sangria, a full grill setup, and one of those fold-out chairs that practically requires a lift to assemble. Her goal: relax horizontally while judging everyone else’s firework launch angles.

Grill Master and Playlist DJ

James says he’ll be manning the grill at a family cookout, which will feature eight kinds of meat and zero vegetables. He’s been workshopping his celebratory playlist, starting with Lee Greenwood and ending somewhere around Pitbull. His fireworks strategy? “High, loud, and legal-ish.”

Salsa, Rooftops, and DIY Engineering

Yaniel is planning a rooftop hang with some friends—music, good eats, and an unnecessarily competitive flag folding contest. He swears by his homemade salsa, which reportedly has a spice level best described as “rocket-propelled.” No lift equipment is involved, but that hasn’t stopped him from turning lawn chairs into elevated seating platforms using cinder blocks. Not OSHA-approved, but it works.

Firecracker Cupcakes and a Pool of Punch

Evelyn, on the other hand, is baking for two parties and somehow still finds time to organize a neighborhood scavenger hunt. Her desserts are apparently red, white, blue, and gluten-free—but emotionally indulgent. She’s prepping firecracker cupcakes that explode with pop rocks and frosting. The real twist? She’s got plans to set up an inflatable pool filled with fruit punch. It’s for kids, allegedly, but we all know the grown-ups will end up in it.

Lifting Spirits—Not Just Equipment

Together, this team isn’t just renting lifts—they’re lifting spirits, one backyard party and questionable firework decision at a time. Whatever your plans look like this Fourth, we hope they’re full of food, fun, and a little boom(lift) energy.

Happy Independence Day from All of Us!

Sincerely,
Your Team at Discount Lift Rentals
